Swiveling blower unit “Vari-Flow”

The swiveling blower unit of the FR series, known as "Vari-Flow," is basically a development of the "Fortschritt" company in Neustadt, Saxony.
The only "B"-prototype of the "Case 8790" ever built, was already equipped with this invention.
The basic principle is to reduce the distance between the cutting cylinder and the blower during grass harvesting.
This ensures a more consistent crop flow and reduces peak loads in the drivetrain.
After the acquisition of Case IH in 1999, New Holland adopted this idea and has been producing it since 2006.
